Research& Publications
My research focuses on pharmaceutical manufacturing, medicine quality, quality systems, regulatory affairs, and the policies that strengthen access to essential medicines. The work is intended to inform practice, not just the literature.

Dissolution, stability, and pharmacopeial tests that support reliable medicines.
Risk-based GMP and quality assurance.
Compliance, registration, and access to essential medicines.
Building technical capacity through theory joined to practice.
Dr. Sarah Vugigi is the Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine (AJPAM).
Four strands of work, all of them concerned with whether a medicine reaches a patient in the condition it was meant to.
Medicine quality
Work on dissolution profiles, product performance, and the analytical evidence behind quality claims, including assessment of marketed products in Kenyan county markets. Poor-quality medicine is a safety problem before it is a commercial one.

Findings that stay inside a journal change nothing. The work here is written so a manufacturer, a regulator, or a lecturer can act on it, including through policy briefs prepared from research findings.
Also published
Alongside peer-reviewed work, I write reference books on good manufacturing practice and critical pharmaceutical utility systems for professionals, students, and institutions.

I welcome joint studies, postgraduate supervision, and research partnerships focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing, medicine quality, and professional practice.
